Clean Nagaland is a civic technology platform operated by Nagaland Me. The platform provides subscription-based access to enhanced digital features and tools through its Premium Membership.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be granted, how to request a refund, and how cancellations are handled.

By subscribing to any paid plan on this platform, you agree to this policy.

2. Nature of Payments

All payments made on Clean Nagaland are for:

  • Subscription-based digital services
  • Access to premium platform features

Clean Nagaland does not operate as a donation-based platform, and all payments are treated strictly as service fees.

3. Premium Membership

3.1 What it covers

Premium Membership is a paid subscription that provides access to additional features beyond the free civic reporting tools, including enhanced reporting capabilities and member-level platform benefits.

3.2 7-Day Refund Window

If you are not satisfied with your Premium Membership, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your purchase date, provided:

  • The request is submitted within 7 days of the transaction, and
  • The membership has not been significantly used

Refund eligibility is determined based on actual usage of premium features.

3.3 No Refund After 7 Days

After the 7-day refund period:

  • No refunds will be issued for active subscriptions
  • No partial refunds will be provided for unused time
  • This applies to both monthly and annual plans

3.4 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions may renew automatically based on the selected plan.

If a renewal charge was made unintentionally, you must contact us within 48 hours of the renewal payment. If the renewed period has not been used, we will cancel the subscription and issue a full refund for that renewal.

3.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your Premium Membership at any time.

  • Cancellation stops future billing
  • Access remains active until the end of the current billing cycle
  • No refund will be issued for the current billing period unless it falls within the eligible 7-day refund window

4. Failed or Duplicate Transactions

If you were:

  • Charged more than once for the same transaction, or
  • Charged but your membership was not activated

Please contact us immediately. After verification, eligible cases will receive a full refund within 7–10 business days.

5. How to Request a Refund

  • Email address used for payment
  • Transaction ID or Razorpay payment reference
  • Date of transaction
  • Reason for the refund request

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and process eligible refunds within 7–10 business days.

6. Refund Processing

All approved refunds are processed through Razorpay to the original payment method.

  • Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to reflect, depending on your bank or card provider
  • Refunds will only be issued to the original payment source
  • We do not process refunds via alternate payment methods

7. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Requests made after the 7-day refund window
  • Significant use of premium features during the subscription period
  • Dissatisfaction with platform outcomes (such as report status or visibility), which are governed by platform policies and not by the membership tier
  • Account suspension or termination due to violation of Terms of Service or Community Guidelines

8. Chargebacks

We recommend contacting us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer.

Most issues can be resolved quickly through our support team. Unauthorized or premature chargebacks may result in temporary suspension of your account until the matter is resolved.
