Help Nagaland (“we,” “our,” or “the platform”) is an independent citizen-driven platform that enables individuals in Nagaland to report safety issues, misconduct, or corruption anonymously. We are not affiliated with any government department, police authority, or political organization.

Our purpose is to promote transparency, accountability, and community awareness through responsible reporting. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, what we do not collect, and how user anonymity is protected.

2. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Protecting your privacy is our highest priority. Help Nagaland is built so that contributors can post or report information without revealing personal identities unless they choose to do so voluntarily. We collect no unnecessary personal data and do not track users beyond what is needed for website security and performance.

3. Information We Collect

Help Nagaland itself collects very limited data:

  • User Submissions: The text, images, or attachments you voluntarily include in your report. You may choose to remain fully anonymous.
  • Cookies: Basic cookies are used only to ensure form functionality and session stability. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

We do not collect IP addresses, device data, or any personally identifiable information (PII) through our website systems.

4. Hosting Provider Logs (Managed by Hostinger)

Our hosting provider, Hostinger, may automatically maintain limited technical logs—such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and browser information—as part of standard server operations. These server logs are not accessible to Help Nagaland administrators and are managed solely under Hostinger’s internal data retention policy.

If a lawful authority requests such records, we will refer them directly to Hostinger, as we do not hold or control that data.

5. How We Use the Data We Have

  • Display user-submitted reports publicly after moderation.
  • Ensure website functionality and protect against spam or abuse.
  • Improve reliability and maintain platform security.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with third parties.

6. Anonymous Submissions

Help Nagaland supports anonymous reporting. You can publish reports without providing your name, email, or any identifying details. Because we do not collect such data, we cannot identify, trace, or disclose the identity of users who post anonymously—even if requested.

However, users should post responsibly and avoid submitting false or defamatory material. All reports are subject to moderation and may be removed if they violate Indian law or community safety guidelines.

7. Third-Party Links

Our website may include links to news sources or external organizations. Help Nagaland is not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices. We advise visitors to review those sites’ privacy policies before interacting with them.

8. Data Security

We use HTTPS encryption, firewalls, and secure server configurations provided by Hostinger. While reasonable precautions are taken to protect content, no website can guarantee absolute security from all cyber threats.

9. Children’s Privacy

Help Nagaland is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If a post is discovered to contain identifiable information from a minor, that data will be removed.

10. Lawful Requests

If law enforcement or a court requires information about a user, Help Nagaland will cooperate in accordance with Indian law. However, since we do not store technical or identifying data, any such request will be redirected to our hosting provider, who may maintain server-level logs.

11. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be revised periodically to reflect hosting changes, legal updates, or new privacy practices. The updated version will always appear on this page with a new revision date.
