About Help Nagaland
Welcome to Help Nagaland — a citizen-powered platform built for the people, by the people.
In Nagaland, many issues go unreported because citizens fear exposure, retaliation, or simply don’t know how to share their concerns safely. HelpNagaland seeks to change that. We provide a secure and anonymous space for citizens to submit reports—complete with photos, documents, videos, or location data—about issues affecting community safety and well-being: traffic violations, harassment, environmental hazards, infrastructure failures, corruption, and more.
Our Vision
We believe that when voices are heard, change becomes possible. Our vision is a Nagaland where everyone feels empowered to speak up—without fear—and where public awareness leads to accountability and real-world action.
Our Connected Network
HelpNagaland is part of a growing digital ecosystem built to inform, empower, and connect the people of Nagaland. Our network includes:
- Nagaland News Today – a reliable and fast news service providing verified updates and ground reports.
- Aloto Naga TV – our official video channel delivering Nagamese news, visual storytelling, and public information.
- Nagaland Dictionary – a growing digital dictionary supporting cultural preservation and everyday communication.
- Nagaland.me – a digital portal featuring culture, lifestyle, updates, and useful public resources.
What We Do
- Secure Reporting: Users can upload photos, documents, or videos of incidents and choose whether to remain anonymous or identify themselves.
- Community Transparency: Reports are automatically published on the platform once submitted, helping citizens stay informed about real issues affecting daily life.
- Support & Amplification: The community can support, share, or vote for reports to raise awareness and visibility.
- Awareness & Action: By highlighting recurring issues, we aim to inspire local authorities, NGOs, and civic groups to act.
How It Works
- Submit your report — include details, photos, documents, or videos if you wish.
- Choose whether to reveal your identity or stay anonymous. The choice is yours.
- Your report goes live automatically once submitted, except where it clearly violates law or platform policy (e.g., spam, abusive, or illegal content).
- Community members can view, support, or discuss the report publicly.
- Over time, clusters of reports help reveal patterns, allowing NGOs and authorities to identify areas needing urgent attention.
Our Values
- Privacy & Safety: We rigorously protect user identity. Unless a user chooses to disclose personal details, no personal information is revealed.
- Technical Transparency: Help Nagaland itself does not collect or store visitor IPs or personal identifiers. Limited server-level data, if any, is handled only by our hosting provider (Hostinger) under its own retention policy.
- Transparency: We operate as an intermediary, making clear that user-generated reports are posted directly by citizens.
- Empowerment: This is your platform — our role is simply to provide the tools and safe space.
- Neutral & Independent: We do not endorse political parties or ideologies. Our focus is on community issues, not politics.
Disclaimer & Content Policy
HelpNagaland does not verify or approve every submission before it goes live. We rely on users to post responsibly and reserve the right to remove material that violates the law or platform terms. Publication of a report does not mean endorsement or confirmation by HelpNagaland, and we are not liable for the accuracy or truthfulness of any user-submitted information.
